Privacy policy
Effective 23 October 2026
Our privacy principles
Your calendar stays yours. We use only what we need to show and plan your week. Our server never keeps your event descriptions, notes, guest lists or attachments.
Nothing changes without you. Timeless changes your calendar only when you ask it to.
Your data is not for sale. We don’t sell it, use it for advertising, or use your Google data to train AI models.
This summary is here to help. The full notice below is what governs.
01Who we are
Timeless (“we”, “us”) makes a calendar for macOS and the service behind it, including this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are responsible for your information as its controller.
02Changes to this notice
When Timeless changes, this notice may too. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by email before an important change takes effect.
03What we collect
When you sign up or sign in
- The waitlist: your email address and when you joined, so we can tell you when Timeless is ready.
- Signing in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture as Google shares them, Google’s id for your account, the permissions you gave, and when you signed in. To stay connected, we also keep the access Google grants us, encrypted: on your Mac, locked with a key in the macOS Keychain, and on our server if you turn it on.
- Talking to us: whatever you write when you get in touch.
Your calendar, with your permission
When you connect Google Calendar, you decide what Timeless may do: see your calendars, and change your events when you ask. You can take that permission back at any time.
- On your Mac. The app keeps your calendar on your Mac, so it opens instantly and works offline.
- On our server, if you turn it on. Some features work while your laptop is closed, like finding free time and booking meetings. For those, our server keeps a light outline of your schedule: which calendars you have and their time zones; when your events happen, their titles, whether they make you busy or last all day, and how you’ve labelled them; and a few details that keep it in step with Google, like each event’s id and when it last changed. It also remembers the bookings you make through Timeless and how each one went.
- Never. Our server never keeps your event descriptions, notes, locations, guest lists or attachments.
While you use Timeless
- Error reports. If the app runs into a problem, it sends us a report so we can fix it. Before the report leaves your Mac, your event titles, descriptions, locations, guests and email addresses are removed. It keeps only technical details, like times, internal ids and your Mac’s system version.
- Keeping out spam. To stop automated waitlist signups, we briefly keep a scrambled form of the network address a signup came from, never the address itself, and delete it after a day.
- Basic logs. Like most websites, our host briefly keeps standard visit details, such as your IP address, to keep the service secure and running.
- No tracking. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Signing in with Google uses one short-lived cookie to finish signing you in.
04How we use it
- To show your week, make the changes you ask for, find your free time, and book meetings you confirm.
- To keep Timeless safe and working: fixing errors and stopping abuse.
- To tell you when Timeless is ready, if you joined the waitlist, and to answer your messages.
- To meet our legal obligations.
05Your Google data
Timeless’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms:
- We use your Google data only to provide and improve the calendar features you see.
- We share it only with the providers that help us run those features (section 06), when the law requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and then only with your explicit prior consent.
- We never use it for advertising, and we never sell it.
- We never use it to create, train or improve AI or machine-learning models.
- No one reads it unless you ask us to, it’s needed to investigate security or abuse, the law requires it, or it has been combined and made anonymous for running the service.
06Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only:
- With the providers below, who help us run Timeless and act only on our behalf.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you, and for Google data only with your explicit prior consent.
| Provider | What it does for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your calendar, which Timeless reads and changes for you | Worldwide | |
| Supabase | Stores your account, the outline of your schedule and your bookings, and handles signing in with Google | United States |
| Vercel | Hosts this website and our server | Worldwide |
| Trigger.dev | Runs our background work, like keeping your schedule up to date and sending waitlist notices | United States |
| Resend | Sends us an email when someone joins the waitlist | United States |
| Sentry | Collects error reports from the app, with your calendar content removed | United States |
07How long we keep it
- Your account and schedule: while you use Timeless, and until you delete your account.
- The outline of your schedule starts about a week before it was last fully refreshed, and stays until you delete your account.
- Your waitlist email: until we launch, or until you ask us to remove it.
- The scrambled network addresses used against spam: one day.
- Error reports: for a limited time.
08Your choices
- Download or delete. On your account page you can download the account data on our server, or delete all of it, after signing in with Google again. The waitlist is separate: to remove your waitlist email, write to us.
- What deleting does. It stops syncing, asks Google to remove our access, and erases your data from our server. Your Google Calendar itself isn’t touched. If a booking was in progress, we first make sure it can’t land afterwards; this can take up to about a week, and in rare cases a booking already on its way could still appear in your calendar.
- Remove our access. You can do this at any time in your Google account settings. If Google couldn’t be reached when you deleted your account, check there too.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your information, object to or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to us below; we’ll never treat you differently for asking. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
09Keeping it safe
Your connection to us is always encrypted, and the access Google gives us to your calendar is stored encrypted, with the key that unlocks it kept apart from our database. Each account can see only its own data, and only our server can make changes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and to limit who can reach it.
10Where your data lives
Most of our providers store your information in the United States. Google keeps your calendar in its data centers around the world, and our website host may handle your visits close to where you are. If you live outside the United States, your information travels there, protected by the safeguards these providers offer.
11Children
Timeless isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
